In this article we will talk in detail about how to correctly set up analytics on a website through Google Tag Manager (GTM or Google Tag Manager) to track conversions in Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads. We will look at the example of a website created by Tilda Publishing.These instructions are not suitable for setting up Universal Analytics.
It should be noted that Google Analytics 4 is the latest version of Google Analytics, which replaces Universal Analytics. Google technical support specialists warn users that Google Analytics 4 operates in beta mode, and, today, may have its own nuances. We have been testing GA4 since October 2021, constantly checking the number of conversions and other events, and have not noted any errors in the system. Since November 2021, we have completely switched to new Google analytics.
Log in to Google, go to Google Tag Manager https://tagmanager.google.com/ and click Create Account.
